Mexican operator Velas Resorts has introduced three-day destination wellness wedding packages at each of its four properties, with rituals designed to relieve anxiety and restore energy levels.<\/p>\n
Available at its resorts in Riviera Maya, Riviera Nayarit, Puerto Vallarta and Los Cabos, the package is designed for groups of 20 people and requires a minimum of two months of planning.<\/p>\n

The programme for day one is designed to lower travel-induced stress and release endorphins. The group will take part in a guided ice-plunge, combined with breathing exercises, to lower cortisol levels and boost circulation.<\/p>\n
Guests move to an open-air lounge infused with scents tailored for relaxation where they’re served functional drinks and multivitamin shots to restore electrolytes, rather than alcohol.<\/p>\n
On day two, the wedding day, a private morning mindfulness session takes place on the beach before the vows. Guests are asked to write messages of blessings, prayers and positive energy for the marriage on intention cards during the experience. Velas Resorts says this activity transforms a passive audience into an active network of emotional support.<\/p>\n
Before the couple exchange vows, a spiritual guide carries out a blessing intended to clear negative energy, using the smoke of Mexican copal resin. This aromatic tree sap has been seen as sacred since ancient Maya and Aztec times.<\/p>\n
When guests enter their rooms at the end of the night, a personal sleep concierge will have left a sleep kit to promote rest. The kit includes an eye mask, a botanical ambient spray to calm the nervous system, a tea, bath salts and an essential oil for pulse points.<\/p>\n
A QR code displayed on a screen in the room will link to a playlist of acoustic soundscapes designed to encourage deep sleep.<\/p>\n
The third and final day, post-wedding, is spent at the spa to restore energy. Guests are guided by a spa valet to complete the hydrotherapy journey for an hour, experiencing the lagoons, saunas, eucalyptus steamroom and thermal beds. During this journey, guests can take part in sensory skin rituals that involve aloe vera application, orange and salt exfoliation and a deep-conditioning hair treatment.<\/p>\n
Body treatments are the next phase of the spa trip, including mineral-rich wraps that are infused with sea salts and local clays for detoxification and skin replenishment.<\/p>\n
