Coronation Street star Junade Khan has teased the future of his character Idris Nazir’s relationship <\/a>with long-term Weatherfield resident Leanne Battersby, revealing that Idris does have “genuine” feelings for her. <\/p>\n

The uncle of local lawyer Alya Nazir<\/a>, Idris dramatically arrived on the cobbles back in May and immediately ruffled feathers with his business ventures. He also quickly struck up a romance with Leanne, despite Alya warning her that Idris is a womaniser.
<\/p>\n

Speaking exclusively to Inside Soap at the Coronation Street Inside Soap Awards photoshoot, actor Junade warns fans that there’s a rocky road ahead for the controversial couple.<\/p>\n

“His feelings for Leanne are genuine, but issues will arise,” Junade confesses. “He will get the hair dryer treatment from her! He\u2019s going to bring the Battersby out in her, which I think viewers like.”<\/p>\n

As well as clashing with Alya’s boyfriend Adam Barlow, Idris has also locked horns with Leanne’s ex-husband Nick Tilsley<\/a>, after bonding with Nick’s teenage son Sam Blakeman.<\/p>\n

When asked if there was more conflict to come with Nick, Junade confirmed that there’s more on the way.<\/p>\n

“Oh yes!” he enthuses. “Currently he\u2019s got a lot of issues with Nick. Sam really likes Idris, which obviously upsets Nick. <\/p>\n

“Idris really doesn\u2019t respect Nick as a businessman, so he\u2019s got his eye on the Bistro as well. There are other things that he wants too, which will come out later\u2026”<\/p>\n
