FOXBORO, Mass. (WPRI) \u2014 One of the biggest groups in K-pop is going to make history when they take the stage at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro<\/a> this week.<\/p>\n

BTS will be performing at the home of the New England Patriots on Wednesday, Aug. 5, and Thursday, Aug. 6, with both shows kicking off at 8 p.m.<\/p>\n

In a press release, Gillette Stadium confirmed that BTS will be the first K-pop show to headline the Foxboro venue.<\/p>\n

The two concerts are part of the long-awaited “BTS WORLD TOUR ARIRANG<\/a>,” marking the South Korean stars’ return following their mandatory military service.<\/p>\n

Parking lots at Gillette will open at 4 p.m. on the days of the concerts, with stadium gates opening at 5:30 p.m. The stadium said ADA entry will be available through its Ticketmaster Gate.<\/p>\n

Gillette is advising BTS fans, known collectively as ARMY, to plan ahead and give themselves plenty of time to get to the venue, as the concert will coincide with commuter traffic.<\/p>\n

Traffic restrictions will be in place on local roads both before and after the show. The stadium warned that certain road closures will not be reflected on navigational apps, noting that fans must use I-95, I-495 or Route 140 to access the stadium.<\/p>\n

Free general parking is available for all ticket holders across the street from the stadium. Gillette noted that the prepaid parking spots on the stadium side of Route 1 are sold out.<\/p>\n

Lot 15, adjacent to Bass Pro Shops, will serve as the designated drop-off and pickup location for rideshare services. There will be a taxi stand in Lot 5B. Taxis will be available when the concert ends but are first-come, first-served as there is a limited number.<\/p>\n

While the MBTA commuter rail and Keolis are providing special event train service to the stadium, those tickets are also sold out.<\/p>\n

The stadium’s clear bag policy will be in effect for the concert. Fans who need to carry a bag can use a small wristlet, handheld wallet, one-gallon clear plastic bag that does not exceed 11-by-11 inches, or a clear plastic vinyl or PVC bag that does not exceed 12-by-12-by-6 inches. No other bags will be allowed inside the venue.<\/p>\n

Professional cameras, video cameras, tripods, selfie sticks, strollers, lasers, umbrellas, balloons and noisemakers are prohibited inside the stadium. Fans can bring signs, but they cannot have lights or battery packs on them.<\/p>\n

All concerts at Gillette are rain-or-shine events. In the event of hazardous weather, the stadium says it will work closely with the artist and public safety officials to give guests instructions on where to shelter until the concert can resume.<\/p>\n

While Wednesday evening is looking dry, there is the possibility of a shower or thunderstorm on Thursday.<\/p>\n
