Disgraced former reality TV star Stephen Bear has been jailed for 16 months for breaching a restraining order by posting on social media<\/a> about his ex-girlfriend, TV<\/a> personality Georgia Harrison.<\/p>\n

Celebrity Big Brother\u2019s 2016 winner flouted the five-year restraining order in a campaign of vitriol during which he made degrading comments about Harrison and encouraged others to comment about her, according to Britain\u2019s Crown Prosecution Service.<\/p>\n

The order was imposed in March 2023 after he was found guilty<\/a> of disclosing private sexual photographs and films of Harrison with intent to cause distress and voyeurism.<\/p>\n

The 36-year-old, of Walthamstow, east London, was given a jail sentence for sharing a private sex tape of Harrison on his OnlyFans website.<\/p>\n

Prosecutors said that between March and July 2025, Bear repeatedly posted about Harrison on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X and YouTube, despite a restraining order which banned him from doing so.<\/p>\n

Harrison (31), who has previously waived her anonymity in this case, gave police screenshots and screen recordings which showed Bear had made a series of accusations and degrading comments about her.<\/p>\n

In a statement, she said: \u201c[The police] treated this as the serious crime it is, not a celebrity story. It is a real offence against a real person.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added: \u201cIf every force treated this the way Essex Police did, thousands of women would feel safer today.\u201d<\/p>\n

Harrison has starred in reality TV shows including The Only Way Is Essex and Love Island. In recent years she has campaigned on violence against women and girls after becoming a victim of revenge porn.<\/p>\n

She was appointed an MBE for services to tackling online privacy and cybercrime awareness.<\/p>\n

Bear and Ms Harrison were captured having sex by CCTV cameras in his garden on August 2nd, 2020.<\/p>\n

In June 2024, Chelmsford Crown Court heard Bear had repaid \u00a322,305 he had illegally earned by sharing a private sex tape online.<\/p>\n

It came after a judge who had made a confiscation order for that amount warned Bear he faced nine months in prison if he did not pay the sum within three months.<\/p>\n

The order was made at a Proceeds of Crime Act hearing after Bear walked out of prison having served 10-and-a-half months of his 21-month sentence for sharing the film.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, prosecutors said Bear had looked to cast doubt on his convictions, including by alleging Harrison and her mother had conspired to pervert the course of justice.<\/p>\n

Bear also created an online petition seeking support for a retrial and attempting to obtain Harrison\u2019s bank statements.<\/p>\n

He carried on posting despite several of his accounts being shut down due to their content.<\/p>\n

Bear was arrested in May, later charged with breaching a restraining order and admitted the offence when he appeared at east London\u2019s Snaresbrook Crown Court on June 8th.<\/p>\n

The police detective who led the investigation into the breach, stressed Bear\u2019s behaviour \u201cis not okay and it should not be normalised or accepted\u201d.<\/p>\n

He praised Harrison for her \u201ccourage\u201d and \u201cdignity\u201d as Bear tried to discredit her.<\/p>\n

Senior Crown prosecutor Andrew Young said Bear had \u201cused his platforms to amplify abuse and encourage others to target\u201d Ms Harrison.<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cNo woman should be made to live in fear because someone refuses to accept the restrictions placed on them by a court.<\/p>\n
