Coronation Street’s Sarah Platt will be rocked by a huge bombshell on Sunday (9 August) amid her ongoing prison ordeal<\/a>. While the popular figure has been dealing with new enemies behind bars, she’s shocked to hear what’s been happening back on the street. <\/p>\n

Last month, Sarah confessed to the murder of Theo Silverton after being arrested by the police. However, she chose to keep her accomplice Gary Windass’s name out of it – much to Kit Green’s annoyance.<\/p>\n

Having scraped GPS evidence from Gary’s phone, Kit was determined to prove his involvement<\/a> in a bid to reduce Sarah’s sentence. He issued Gary an ultimatum, telling him to hand himself in<\/a> before the police find the murder weapon he disposed of.<\/p>\n

In a newly released spoiler clip for Sunday’s episode, which can be viewed below, Bethany visits her mum is prison, and is horrified to discover that she has been attacked by a fellow inmate.<\/p>\n

“Mum, right, you need to listen to me. It’s great that you’ve got this new BFF but you’ve been assaulted! You need to report it,” she urges. “That psycho punched you for sitting in a chair.”<\/p>\n

“Well, she actually punched me for sitting in HER chair so I think that’s quite a big difference,” Sarah clarifies, adding that she was also called a “stuck-up, skinny, wannabe Cheshire wife”.<\/p>\n

Bethany is frustrated by Sarah’s calmness at the situation, and decides to share the harsh realities of how things have escalated back home. She explains that Kit is “absolutely losing the plot” while trying to get her out of prison.<\/p>\n

“You know he’s trying to get Gary to hand himself in?” she tells her shocked mum, explaining that Kit’s trying to “save” her by blackmailing Gary. The question remains – how will Sarah react to the news? And will Kit’s plan have the desired result? <\/p>\n
