Emergency services are currently at the scene of an incident involving a lorry on the main N15 Stranorlar to Killygordon road.<\/p>\n
It is understood the vehicle went off the road close to St Joseph\u2019s Hospital within the last hour.<\/p>\n
\u201cA stop\/go system is now in place at that location until 7pm,\u201d a garda spokesperson said. \u201cThe road will then be closed for a number of hours from 7pm to facilitate the removal of the lorry. We appreciate your patience\u201d.<\/p>\n
Motorists have been advised to seek alternative routes, however, the back road between Ballybofey and Crossroads village is currently closed for roadworks.<\/p>\n
Local Councillor, Patrick McGowan, says he has contacted Donegal County Council to request the reopening of the back road to facilitate diversions.<\/p>\n
