{"id":587411,"date":"2026-08-08T22:10:09","date_gmt":"2026-08-08T22:10:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/587411\/"},"modified":"2026-08-08T22:10:09","modified_gmt":"2026-08-08T22:10:09","slug":"tottenham-draw-against-getafe-in-pre-season-friendly","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/587411\/","title":{"rendered":"Tottenham draw against Getafe in pre-season friendly."},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Tottenham came from behind to draw 1-1 against La Liga side Getafe in a pre-season friendly.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The match, which took place behind closed doors at Tottenham&#8217;s training ground, was shortened to 70 minutes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Getafe took the lead in the 66th minute when Alberto Risco volleyed past Spurs goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Spurs responded minutes later with Conor Gallagher&#8217;s neat finish following a good run.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The home side were close to winning the match late on but Richarlison&#8217;s header was saved by goalkeeper David Soria.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Both sides had chances in a goalless first half with Lucas Bergvall&#8217;s shot the best of the efforts for Spurs, while Andy Gray did well to block Ebrahima Drammeh&#8217;s drive.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Spurs remain unbeaten so far, winning four and drawing one of their five matches.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Tottenham conclude their pre-season fixtures with a double header against Bundesliga side Hoffenheim next Saturday at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (15:00 BST) and a Sunday match at the training ground (12:00 BST).<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">They begin their Premier League campaign against Brentford on 22 August.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Tottenham came from behind to draw 1-1 against La Liga side Getafe in a pre-season friendly.
