{"id":591031,"date":"2026-08-12T15:02:24","date_gmt":"2026-08-12T15:02:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/591031\/"},"modified":"2026-08-12T15:02:24","modified_gmt":"2026-08-12T15:02:24","slug":"forest-of-dean-bodybuilder-crowned-mr-england-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/591031\/","title":{"rendered":"Forest of Dean bodybuilder crowned Mr England 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A bodybuilder from Cinderford has been crowned Mr England by the Independent Bodybuilding Fitness Association (IBFA UK) this August 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Edward Bundy from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.soglos.com\/location\/forest-of-dean\/\" title=\"Forest of Dean\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Forest of Dean<\/a> came out on top for his class after what he described as &#8216;years of training, discipline and preparation&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>IBFA UK supports grassroots clubs and competitors and specialises in what it calls &#8216;old school bodybuilding&#8217; \u2013 with categories for men, women, juniors, and people with visible disabilities.<\/p>\n<p>Competitors are judged on criteria including muscularity, definition, symmetry, proportions, shape, and stage presence \u2013 with Edward taking home the trophy for the men&#8217;s classic tall category.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Edward is also the owner of IronMasters Gym in <a href=\"https:\/\/admin.soglos.com\/location\/cinderford\/\" title=\"Cinderford\" target=\"_blank\" style=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Cinderford<\/a> and is proud of the community that has been building around strength training in the area.<\/p>\n<p>Following his win, he now plans to expand IronMasters \u2013 opening a new Performance and Endurance Centre with a focus on functional fitness, endurance training and athletic conditioning, in the unit directly opposite the existing site.<\/p>\n<p>The original IronMasters will remain, but will become the IronMasters Strength and Power Centre, with its focus being on bodybuilding, powerlifting, and strength training.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Taking to Instagram to announce his victory, Edward said: &#8216;This weekend I stepped on stage and came away with the title of Mr England in men&#8217;s classic tall. A result I&#8217;m incredibly proud of, but one that didn&#8217;t happen on the day.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;It was built through months of early mornings, hard training, boring meals, tired legs, low energy, doubt, discipline and showing up when it would have been easier not to&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px 0px 20px;\">&#8216;To every member of IronMasters Gym \u2013 thank you. Watching you all turn up, grind, stay consistent and keep pushing is a constant inspiration to me. You all help keep the standards high.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px 0px 20px;\">&#8216;IronMasters is more than a gym.
