RYANAIR HAS ANNOUNCED a five-year AI partnership with Google to \u201csupport productivity and customer service\u201d.<\/p>\n
The airline said the deal will also \u201chelp automate decision-making, optimise flight crew logistics, and support overall corporate productivity\u201d.<\/p>\n
The five-year deal has been penned with Google Cloud, which is the firm\u2019s AI and data service for businesses.<\/p>\n
Under the agreement, Ryanair will deploy Google Workspace and Google Cloud services to its 35,000 employees across its network.<\/p>\n
Ryanair said this deal has been struck to \u201csupport its growth to 300 million passengers per annum by 2034\u201d.<\/p>\n
The deal includes Gemini Enterprise, which is Google\u2019s AI and agentic platform for the workplace.<\/p>\n
The agentic AI platform is designed to \u201cconnect organisational data, automate workflows, and create custom AI agents\u201d.<\/p>\n
Ryanair said this system will be used to help automate decision-making, optimise flight crew logistics, and to support overall corporate productivity and customer service.<\/p>\n
The airline added that Google Cloud\u2019s AI technology will provide \u201cmulti-cloud resilience\u201d, allowing Ryanair to \u201cbuild a flexible system so it can utilise multiple cloud providers\u201d.<\/p>\n
Ryanair said this means if one cloud platform \u201cexperiences any issues, critical airline services can quickly adapt, keeping flights and customer services running without interruption\u201d.<\/p>\n
The airline will also utilise Google\u2019s AI to assist fleet operations and maintenance scheduling, and to \u201cmodernise its workflow by replacing its existing collaboration systems\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Ryanair CEO Eddie Wilson said that to support the airline\u2019s aim of 300 million passengers by 2034, \u201cwe need to ensure we have excellent infrastructure resilience.<\/p>\n
Wilson said that the agreement with Google \u201cprovides this, alongside technology partners that match our speed and relentless focus on efficiency\u201d.<\/p>\n
He added that the deal will help \u201cdrive even greater efficiency across our business while bolstering our infrastructure resilience\u201d.<\/p>\n
Elsewhere, Google Cloud vice president Maureen Costell said the company is \u201cthrilled to be Ryanair\u2019s AI transformation partner\u201d.<\/p>\n
