{"id":591866,"date":"2026-08-13T09:20:12","date_gmt":"2026-08-13T09:20:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/591866\/"},"modified":"2026-08-13T09:20:12","modified_gmt":"2026-08-13T09:20:12","slug":"twices-chaeyoung-to-leave-jyp-vows-to-continue-group-activities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/591866\/","title":{"rendered":"TWICE&#8217;s Chaeyoung to leave JYP, vows to continue group activities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/f9577523-cb7a-43d4-beea-1bb7c15d49e7.png\" style=\"height: auto; aspect-ratio: 1260 \/ 840; width: 100%\" alt=\"TWICE's Chaeyoung \/ Captured from Instagram\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"eager\" fetchpriority=\"high\"\/><\/p>\n<p>TWICE&#8217;s Chaeyoung \/ Captured from Instagram<\/p>\n<p class=\"editor-p\">Chaeyoung of K-pop girl group TWICE announced Thursday she will leave JYP Entertainment to pursue solo projects while confirming that she will continue group activities even after leaving the agency.<\/p>\n<p class=\"editor-p\">The 27-year-old singer said in a social media post that she wanted to inform fans first about her decision.<\/p>\n<p class=\"editor-p\">&#8220;I plan to build my own music activities in my &#8216;Lil Fantasy&#8217; world,&#8221; Chaeyoung said, referring to the title of her debut solo album released last year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"editor-p\">She thanked JYP staff and her fellow TWICE members for their support over the past 14 years.<\/p>\n<p class=\"editor-p\">Chaeyoung did not disclose details about her new agency, saying discussions were ongoing. She stressed, however, that her activities as a TWICE member would remain unchanged.<\/p>\n<p class=\"editor-p\">&#8220;I believe the reason I&#8217;ve received so much love is because of the time I&#8217;ve spent as TWICE, my roots,&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"editor-p\">Her departure follows that of bandmate Jeongyeon, who recently signed with Varo Entertainment, the agency of her older sister, actress Gong Seung-yeon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"editor-p\">TWICE, one of K-pop&#8217;s most successful girl groups, debuted in 2015 under JYP.
