Today, this has become official as Tap to Share. It is available on Pixels from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gsmarena.com\/google_pixel_6-11037.php\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Pixel 6<\/a> onwards, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gsmarena.com\/samsung_galaxy_z_fold_wide_5g-14673.php\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Samsung&#8217;s Galaxy Z Fold8<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gsmarena.com\/samsung_galaxy_z_fold8_ultra_5g-14802.php\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Fold8 Ultra<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gsmarena.com\/samsung_galaxy_z_flip8_5g-14803.php\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Flip8<\/a>. Google promises to expand support for the feature to more devices &#8220;by the end of the year&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>As you&#8217;d expect from the name, this works by tapping two supported devices together. When that happens, stuff is shared &#8211; contact info, photos, videos, &#8220;and more&#8221;. It&#8217;s really that simple.<\/p>\n<p>To swap contact info with someone, make sure you&#8217;re on your home screen and just bring your phones close together. An instant two-way exchange will happen, and that&#8217;s it. You can of course choose which contact information fields in your contact card will be shared. You can also choose to only receive the other person\u2019s contact card.<\/p>\n<p>To share photos or videos, open your phone&#8217;s Share Sheet (the menu that appears when you tap the Share button in any app), and then tap the two devices together.
