It\u2019s been a little over a year since international girl group and Cut cover stars Katseye<\/a> first debuted, captivating young audiences with Bratz-doll costuming and internet-brained songs like \u201cGnarly\u201d and \u201cPinky Up.\u201d In that short time, however, the group\u2019s original six members are now down to four.<\/p>\n In February, Katseye\u2019s label, Hybe x Geffen, announced that Manon Bannerman<\/a> was taking a \u201ctemporary hiatus\u201d from the group to focus on her health and well-being. In August, the label announced that a second member, Sophia Laforteza<\/a>, would step back due to illness and would be \u201ctemporarily unable to participate\u201d in Katseye-related appearances.<\/p>\n The remaining members of Katseye are tied up with promotional obligations as they prepare to release their second EP, Wild, on Friday. During an interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the girls vaguely addressed<\/a> their missing counterparts.<\/p>\n \u201cFans may notice the group looks a little different than where you were last year,\u201d Fallon said to the group on Wednesday night. \u201cSo I just want to say, it\u2019s great seeing you support the other members as they\u2019ve taken their breaks.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThank you, it\u2019s very sweet of you to say that,\u201d Lara Raj said. \u201cWe have nothing but so much love and support for Sophia and Manon, and it\u2019s beautiful to see how the Eyekons give them so much support and also continue to support us as we\u2019re here.\u201d<\/p>\n The remaining members \u2014 Daniela Avanzini, Yoonchae Jeung, Megan Skiendiel, and Raj \u2014 went on to perform<\/a> Katseye\u2019s new single, \u201cAnimal,\u201d which was co-written by Ed Sheeran (??). Their first arena world tour is kicking off next month, taking the group across North America and Europe. When Fallon asked how the girls would describe the upcoming era, Avanzini said, \u201cWild,\u201d while Raj added, \u201cI\u2019d say maturity \u2026 Growing up.\u201d<\/p>\n There\u2019s no word on whether either of the two missing members will rejoin Katseye on tour, though Hybe executives promised the team would reassess Laforteza\u2019s hiatus in September. Bannerman, meanwhile, said she\u2019d had \u201cpositive conversations\u201d<\/a> with the label ahead of the group\u2019s Coachella performance, though she\u2019s yet to make her official comeback.
