In the early hours of Wednesday, 12th August 2026, Helen died peacefully surrounded by her loving family, in the care of the wonderful staff in the Bons Secours Hospital, Galway.<\/p>\n

Beloved wife of Malachy Forde, and mother to Karen and Andrew Forde.<\/p>\n

She is deeply mourned and very sadly missed by her heartbroken family, especially her six grandchildren of whom she cherished dearly; Bodhi, Indie, Levi, Saoirse, Donnacha and Laoise.<\/p>\n

May her vibrant spirit and beautiful soul<\/p>\n

Rest in Peace<\/p>\n

Helen will lie in Repose at the O\u2019Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue, Galway (H91 V1K8) on Sunday, 16th August 2026 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.<\/p>\n

There will not be a Removal to the Church on Sunday evening.<\/p>\n

Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Helen on Monday, 17th August, 2026 on arrival at 11 a.m. at the Church of Christ the King, Salthill.<\/p>\n

Mass will be live-streamed\u00a0Here<\/a><\/p>\n

A private cremation will follow.<\/p>\n

Family flowers only.\u00a0Donations, if desired, may be made in memory of Helen to Parkinsons Ireland.<\/a><\/p>\n
