data-testid=\"article-paragraph-component\">[SINGAPORE]  DFI Retail Group  will be the exclusive wholesaler, distributor and franchisee for health and wellness brand GNC in Hong Kong, Macau and Singapore, both parties announced on Friday (Aug 14) in a joint statement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words mb-4 md:mb-6\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-component\">This is part of a new partnership between the two companies to deepen access to GNC\u2019s health and wellness products and solutions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words mb-4 md:mb-6\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-component\">The retail company will provide sales, marketing, distribution and logistics services to ensure convenient consumer access to GNC\u2019s portfolio of health and wellness products via DFI\u2019s Guardian Singapore.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words mb-4 md:mb-6\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-component\">\u201cSingapore marks the next phase of collaboration between DFI and GNC in Asia,\u201d noted the statement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words mb-4 md:mb-6\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-component\">In May this year, the Singapore Court of Appeal upheld and enforced GNC\u2019s rights to assume former GNC store leases in full \u2013 subject to consent of the landlords \u2013 and awarded <a class=\"text-verticals-btblue underline hover:text-blue-500\" data-testid=\"article-annotation-link-component\" href=\"https:\/\/www.businesstimes.com.sg\/singapore\/court-appeal-upholds-gncs-rights-ron-sims-lac-store-leases-awarding-damages\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">more than US$18.9 million in damages to the US-based health supplements retailer<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words mb-4 md:mb-6\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-component\">Cheri Mullen, chief global franchise and wholesale officer at GNC, said: \u201cWe look forward to reconstituting our store footprint in Singapore and remain focused on rebuilding and strengthening our presence in the 2025, DFI Retail\u2019s beauty and health brand Mannings announced the closure of all its stores across mainland China, due to changes in \u201cconsumer behaviour\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words mb-4 md:mb-6\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-component\">Mannings, which operates as Guardian in Singapore, has more than 120 stores in mainland China, with an additional 320 outlets across Hong Kong and Macau.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words mb-4 md:mb-6\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-component\">A company spokesperson from DFI Retail <a class=\"text-verticals-btblue underline hover:text-blue-500\" data-testid=\"article-annotation-link-component\" href=\"https:\/\/www.businesstimes.com.sg\/companies-markets\/dfi-retails-mannings-joins-retail-exodus-after-two-decades-mainland-china\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">told <\/a><a
