X Factor<\/a> star Scarlett Lee has welcomed her first child.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The singer, 28, announced on Instagram on Friday she gave birth to a baby boy on Wednesday evening.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Sharing the first snap of her adorable newborn, Scarlett revealed his name \u2013 Elias \u2013 through a personalised pillow, blanket and bib.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Scarlett captioned the post: ‘Here he is, Welcome to the world our dream boy Elias born on the 12th of August 2026 at 11:05 pm, weighing 6 pound 9.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘He was every 11:11 wish, every birthday candle I blew out, he was the main one I\u2019d close my eyes and wish for, every shooting star I searched for, every coin I threw into a wishing well and most of all a prayer I prayed the most and I couldn\u2019t be more happier that I have my son.<\/p>\n

‘I couldn\u2019t of done it without my Elias and my mum. I\u2019ve never been happier and I can\u2019t wait for our life as a family as 3. X Factor star Scarlett Lee has welcomed her first child. The singer, 28, announced on Instagram on Friday she gave birth to a baby boy, Elias\u00a0<\/p>\n

Scarlett captioned the post: ‘Here he is, Welcome to the world our dream boy Elias born on the 12th of August 2026 at 11:05 pm, weighing 6 pound 9’<\/p>\n

The country music singer, who also appeared on American Idol<\/a>, delighted her fans by revealing she was pregnant.<\/p>\n

Sharing a poem to her story, Scarlett said: ‘Ten little fingers, two little toes. Two beautiful eyes and a cute button nose. Singing along to mummy at all her shows’.<\/p>\n

Alongside the words was a framed photograph of an ultrasound.<\/p>\n

Announcing the pregnancy news, Scarlett gushed: ‘For this child we have prayed and the Lord has granted our hearts desire.<\/p>\n

‘Baby Cole coming August 2026. We cannot wait for our next chapter of being mummy and daddy and I cannot wait to share my music journey with our little blessing.’<\/p>\n

Yet six years on from her stint on the British singing show,\u00a0Scarlett looked worlds away from her old self as she auditioned for American Idol<\/a>.<\/p>\n

She blew the American judges away as she\u00a0belted out Emeli Sand\u00e9’s 2013 song Clown.<\/p>\n

It went down well with the judges, especially Katy Perry<\/a> who said it was one of her favourite songs, resulting in her,\u00a0Luke Bryan<\/a> and Lionel Richie<\/a>\u00a0unanimously voting to send her through to the Hollywood stage of the contest.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Katy admitted she was hesitant when she heard the song choice, saying ‘Are we being pranked here,’ was her initial thought.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘That is one of my favorite songs. It’s so vulnerable.<\/p>\n

‘You’re fun and a little bit funky. Your personality is so big, and sometimes people don’t take you seriously. But when you sing a song and you sing a song like that, then you cut through all of the layers.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘It doesn’t matter the makeup, it doesn’t matter the outfit. You become Scarlett Lee the artist. The possible next American Idol.<\/p>\n

‘You become serious. So I’m taking you seriously. Your soul is shining through.’<\/p>\n

Lionel, 74,\u00a0added: ‘Oh, my goodness. You do know that your trip was worth it. It was so well executed. I really enjoyed what you did.’<\/p>\n

Luke, 47, went on: ‘What I do love is you have a neat personality. You have a neat little aura and vibe going on.’<\/p>\n

Scarlett is no stranger to talent shows, finishing second to Dalton Harris on the 15th series of The X Factor and reaching the Six Chair Challenge the year before.<\/p>\n
