A motorcyclist has died following a single-vehicle crash in Carraghy, Co Galway, on Friday night.<\/p>\n
The crash happened on the N83 Claregalway to Tuam road at approximately 11:40 pm.<\/p>\n
The motorcyclist, a man in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n
His body has since been removed to University Hospital Galway, where a post-mortem examination will take place.<\/p>\n
A forensic collision investigator’s examination is currently being conducted at the scene.<\/p>\n
The road remains closed at this time, with local diversions in place.<\/p>\n
Garda\u00ed are appealing to anyone who may have been travelling on the N83 between Claregalway and Tuam between 11:00 pm and 11:40 pm to come forward.<\/p>\n
Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who may have dashcam or other relevant footage is asked to contact Oranmore Garda<\/p>\n
