The basket contains 51 basic products and is designed to cover only modest food and hygiene needs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Zadar County recorded the highest average price at \u20ac498.08, up \u20ac8.06 compared with June. It was followed by Karlovac County at \u20ac496.48 and Zagreb at \u20ac496.13.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The lowest price was recorded in Sisak-Moslavina County, at \u20ac462.96, followed by Lika-Senj at \u20ac464.86 and Vukovar-Srijem at \u20ac466.43.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">For the basic basket, the difference between the most and least expensive counties was \u20ac35.12.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The more comprehensive standard basket, containing 77 products and intended to better reflect typical household consumption, averaged \u20ac726.58 for a four-person family, \u20ac1.05 more than in June.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The biggest increases were recorded in several coastal counties. Zadar County was again the most expensive at \u20ac749.87, followed by Dubrovnik-Neretva at \u20ac749.09 and Istria at \u20ac743.18.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">By comparison, the standard basket was cheapest in Sisak-Moslavina at \u20ac701.29, followed by Po\u017eega-Slavonia and Lika-Senj.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The gap between the most and least expensive standard baskets increased by \u20ac7.58 in one month, reaching \u20ac48.57.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">HUZP president Ana Kne\u017eevi\u0107 said prices remained relatively high despite July being a period when domestic seasonal fruit and vegetables are widely available.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Year-on-year, the basic basket was actually \u20ac3.09 cheaper than in July 2025, while the standard basket was \u20ac8.48 more expensive.
