Liam Gallagher<\/a>\u00a0has claimed that his Pretty Green clothing brand was \u201cstolen\u201d from him\u00a0by \u201cvultures\u201d.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Oasis<\/a>\u00a0frontman\u00a0founded the menswear label in 2009, with its name coming from the 1980 song of the same name by\u00a0The Jam<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He responded to an X user yesterday (August 15) who asked him why he sold the brand, writing: \u201cI didn\u2019t sell it\u00a0it\u00a0was stolen from me by vultures who\u00a0wouldn\u2019t\u00a0know how to dress a fucking salad let alone the youth.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gallagher did not spell out who he was referring to as\u00a0\u201cvultures\u201d.<\/p>\n

Pretty Green was bought by JD Sports after falling into administration in 2019<\/a>, with the sale being handled by administrators.\u00a0The company had been\u00a0impacted\u00a0by the collapse of House\u00a0Of\u00a0Fraser the previous year, and it was later sold to Mike Ashley\u2019s Frasers Group as part of a \u00a347.5million collection of fashion brands in 2022 (via\u00a0The Guardian<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Gallagher previously spoke about his departure from Pretty Green last\u00a0year, when\u00a0a fan asked if he was still involved with the label.<\/p>\n

His\u00a0new comments\u00a0come just days after\u00a0Oasis launched a new clothing range to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their legendary Knebworth shows<\/a>. The collection includes replicas of Liam\u2019s distinctive Umbro zip-up jacket\u00a0and Noel\u2019s knitted jumper from the 1996 shows.<\/p>\n

After\u00a0the enormous \u2018Live \u201925\u2019 reunion tour last year<\/a>, speculation continues to swirl about the possibility of more live performances from the band.\u00a0They are reportedly considering a major UK and European tour next year<\/a>, potentially including a Manchester residency and a return to Knebworth.<\/p>\n

Earlier this month,\u00a0the promoter behind \u2018Live \u201925\u2019 was granted a\u00a0licence\u00a0to hold concerts at the Hertfordshire estate<\/a>, although nothing has yet been confirmed.<\/p>\n

Liam has poured\u00a0cold water\u00a0on the chances of\u00a0new music\u00a0from Oasis, though<\/a>. Responding to a fan last month, he said: \u201cNO I\u2019m just not prepared for the criticism if it doesn\u2019t sell 100 million copies in the 1st\u00a0hour cure bad breath and constipation for the nation if it doesn\u2019t turn back time for Cher and some other shit\u00a0let\u2019s just do some gigs and be happy thank you.\u201d<\/p>\n
