Lidl is bringing out a new “atmospheric” lamp on Thursday, August 20, that looks similar to a version on sale at John Lewis<\/a>. The supermarket regularly updates its Special Buy<\/a> deals every Thursday and Sunday, and the next batch of items to land in stores includes various homeware<\/a> items.<\/p>\n The supermarket’s new LED Table Lamp with Touch Function<\/a> costs \u00a37.99 and will be coming to stores across the UK in a few days. For those who like the look of John Lewis’ Cara Glass Touch Lamp<\/a>, but would prefer to stick to a budget, Lidl’s version may be a more wallet-friendly option.<\/p>\n John Lewis’ version looks similar in shape and design to Lidl<\/a>‘s \u00a37.99 lamp, with both featuring a silver base, frosted glass and cylindrical appearance. However, by opting for Lidl’s \u00a37.99 version, John Lewis shoppers<\/a> could save around \u00a347.<\/p>\n The John Lewis lamp comes in a pack of two for \u00a355, meaning each lamp is worth \u00a327.50. However, this would still be around \u00a319.50 more than buying from the supermarket.<\/p>\n In the product description on Lidl’s website, the supermarket says its \u00a37.99 lamp has a touch-sensitive lamp base for switching it on and off. Three-year warranty.”<\/p>\n As for John Lewis, the product description reads: “We like how the opal glass shades on these petite table lamps diffuse the light and create a warm glow. Their chrome base is designed with touch functionality to offer three light levels. Tap it once to turn on the light, again to make it brighter and a final time to turn it off. Perfect for setting the right ambience in your space and conveniently supplied as a pair.”<\/p>\n In the reviews on John Lewis’ website, one shopper said: “Look expensive and are very unobtrusive on the bedside tables.” A second said: “Very chic looking.” A third said: “Love the different atmospheres one can create.” However, a fourth wrote: “The lamps worked well for about three weeks until one of them just stopped working.”<\/p>\n What other Special Buys are coming to Lidl on Thursday?<\/p>\n Lidl will be bringing out a Livarno White Storage Stool<\/a> for \u00a314.99. Lidl describes it as a “comfortable and space-saving seating option”. It comes with a padded, removable seat and it provides storage space inside.<\/p>\n There is also a “supersoft” Throw in Purple, Beige and White Shades<\/a> for \u00a37.99.
