(WJAR)<\/p>\n<p>The event aimed to raise awareness for mental health through shared love of cars.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Fast &amp; Furious&#8221; star Luis Da Silva Jr., who plays Diogo in the movies, attended the event.<\/p>\n<p>Da Silva said the cause is personal for him, as he lost his cousin after a battle with mental illness.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI like to try to do these kind of events to kind of give back, build awareness and just try to make people happy. And what better than having a car community and a car culture where it implements, it doesn&#8217;t matter what language you speak at dinner, race, ethnicity, or how much money you have. It&#8217;s about putting smiles on people&#8217;s faces,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The proceeds went to the Casey Project to support suicide prevention efforts.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"TAUNTON, Mass.
