Single leg stand<\/p>\n<p id=\"elk-33daa230-9721-11f1-96e5-4d5f02b24b7b\">Set: 1 Time: 30sec each side<\/p>\n<p>Stand near a counter or sturdy chair in case you need it.Lift your right foot slightly off the ground and hold for 30 seconds.Lower your right foot, swap legs and repeat.Make it harder by turning your head slowly side-to-side.<a id=\"elk-2-heel-to-toe-walk\"\/>2. Heel-to-toe walk<\/p>\n<p id=\"elk-33daa370-9721-11f1-91c4-9ffcf07fabbb\">Set: 1 Time: 30sec<\/p>\n<p>Stand near a wall for support.Walk slowly in a straight line, putting the heel of your right foot directly in front of the toes of the left one, like you are walking a tightrope.<a id=\"elk-3-clock-reaches\"\/>3. Clock reaches<\/p>\n<p id=\"elk-33daa488-9721-11f1-8c33-5d3f56d0e697\">Set: 1 Time: 30 sec<\/p>\n<p>Stand on your left leg and imagine you are in the middle of a clock.Lightly tap the floor in front of you with your right foot.Tap the floor to your right side with your right foot.Tap the floor behind you with your right foot.Switch sides and repeat.<a id=\"elk-corrections-matter\"\/>Corrections matter<\/p>\n<p id=\"elk-33daa636-9721-11f1-ae84-2d12a9ac9a54\">Remember, the goal isn\u2019t to be perfectly still and never wobble.<\/p>\n<p>The little corrections you\u2019ll make while you try to stay balanced are part of the training.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBalance is really a series of small, constant corrections, and we make nearly all of them while we\u2019re moving,\u201d explains Katzenback.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnother common mistake is holding on throughout the exercise.
