This is the Motorola Edge 70 Max<\/a>, which launched last month<\/a>. Let’s take a look inside it box and see what it’s about. The Edge 70 Max ships with 256GB of storage and either 8GB or 12GB of RAM.<\/p>\n

You can get it in Pantone Aqua Gray, Pantone Ice Melt, and Pantone Dark Shadow (our model), each with a unique-feeling texture. Prices are \u20ac750, \u00a3700, or INR 59,999.<\/p>\n

You get the usual cable and case in the box. The case isn’t MagSafe-compatible, which is a shame, as we’ve seen lower-tier Motos with a MagSafe case in the box. There’s also no charger included – the Edge 70 Max supports 90W, though you’d need to purchase an adapter yourself<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Before we get to the design of the Moto Edge 70 Max, let’s cover the specs. Up front is an attractive 6.82-inch 1440p LTPO AMOLED with a maximum refresh rate of 144Hz. Inside ticks a 3nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC. On the back, there’s a 50MP 1\/1.56-inch wide-angle camera and an autofocusing 8MP ultrawide. On the front is a 32MP selfie camera. The Edge 70 Max draws power from an impressive 7,100mAh pack with 90W wired and 25W wireless charging.<\/p>\n

Top marks on the hardware. Software is Motorola’s fluid and pretty Hello UI based on Android 16.<\/p>\n

The Motorola Edge 70 Max feels solid and big in the hands. The phone’s metal frame and glass back are matte and, while premium-feeling and oozing with quality, are very slippery. We even managed to drop the phone from about 1 meter onto concrete. Luckily, we only scratched the frame. Or perhaps it’s not luck but rather the Motorola Edge 60 Max’s robust build – the phone is tougher thanks to MIL-STD-810H compliance. Drop resistance is specifically mentioned as one of its merits. Phew.<\/p>\n

The Dark Shadow model we’ve got for review becomes very shiny under strong light. It’s a striking look, and it’d be a shame if you choose to cover it with the generic rubber case.<\/p>\n
