{"id":599596,"date":"2026-08-20T22:40:10","date_gmt":"2026-08-20T22:40:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/599596\/"},"modified":"2026-08-20T22:40:10","modified_gmt":"2026-08-20T22:40:10","slug":"wham-10-days-in-china-the-live-ep-superdeluxeedition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/599596\/","title":{"rendered":"Wham! \/ 10 Days in China \u2013 The Live EP \u2013 SuperDeluxeEdition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A selection of <a href=\"https:\/\/superdeluxeedition.com\/tag\/wham!\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Wham!\u2019s<\/a> live performances from their historic 1985 trip to China will be released for the first time, on a special live EP in December.<\/p>\n<p>10 Days in China \u2013 The Live EP features four songs that all went to number one in the UK and\/or the USA with two (\u2018Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go\u2019 and \u2018Freedom\u2019) from the first concert in Beijing and a pair (\u2018Everything She Wants\u2019 and \u2018Careless Whisper\u2019) from the second (and last) show in Guangzhou.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"314\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns=\" http:=\"\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-219608\" data-lazy- data-lazy- data-lazy-src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/red_vinyl-1.jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>This live audio has been newly mixed and mastered by Chris Porter from the original recordings and will be released on 12-inch vinyl and CD single. Whether this EP is a taster of a full length live album next year or all we\u2019ll be getting, remains to be seen. <\/p>\n<p>The announcement of this release has presumably been timed to coincide with a showing of Mike Christie\u2019s excellent documentary of the same name, on BBC TV, in the UK, on Saturday 29 August at 9pm.
