Aldi Ireland<\/a> has officially reopened its upgraded store in Jigginstown, Naas, Co. Kildare, following an investment worth \u20ac4 million<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The store opened its doors to shoppers at 8am on Thursday 20 August, showcasing its new \u2018Project Fresh\u2019 design, stretching 1,142 square metres and boasting a new bakery serving fresh bread daily.<\/p>\n

Ahead of the long-anticipated opening, store manager Tomas Brchl issued tips for local shoppers to make the most of the reopened store and to ensure they get the best deals available.<\/p>\n

He said, \u201cFirstly, look out for Irish suppliers. Aldi works with great producers nationwide, including ABP Food Group, my favourite is the Specially Selected Irish Black Angus Fillet Steak.<\/p>\n

\u201cMany of Aldi\u2019s Irish products have unbelievable quality and have the awards to back it up.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s something I\u2019m always very proud to see on our shelves. I know customers are not only getting the best prices for the best quality \u2013 they\u2019re supporting local businesses.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe new Project Fresh layout in our store makes it easier than ever to pick up fresh Irish meat, dairy and veg, and we\u2019ve recently implemented price drops right across these ranges too.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2018Fantastic Bargains\u2019<\/p>\n

Brchl also noted less conventional ways to save money, saying, \u201cAldi\u2019s Too God To Go<\/a> Surprise Bags are always a huge hit.<\/p>\n

\u201cCosting \u20ac3.99, they contain food worth at least \u20ac12 and in the last three years we have sold more than 385,000 of these bags.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe also mark-down prices on food approaching its best before date by up to 75%.<\/p>\n

\u201cNot only can you pick up some fantastic bargains, but you can also help us reduce food waste.\u201d<\/p>\n

He also talked about ways shoppers can use facilities available to plan for future savings, saying, \u201cOne of my top tips would be to save your DRS<\/a> returns on a Savings Card throughout the year and keep it for Christmas, which can be an expensive time.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith September and back to school time just around the corner, Christmas won\u2019t be long coming around, and I\u2019ve found the savings really help take the sting out of the costs.\u201d<\/p>\n

Finally, he called on shoppers to make the shopping experience as convenient as possible, saying, \u201cKnow the best time that suits you to shop.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor example, our Specialbuys typically land in store on Thursdays and Sundays, so these can be good days to grab those new items as soon as they hit the shelves \u2013 check the leaflets to find out the sales dates in advance!<\/p>\n

\u201cFor those interested, our quietest (and quickest) time to shop is usually from 8pm to 10pm.<\/p>\n

\u201cShopping later in the day is also a great time to spot some of the marked down fresh fruit, vegetable and meat products.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe also run autism-friendly hours every Tuesday from 6.30pm to 8.30pm, providing a quieter, more sensory-friendly environment.\u201d<\/p>\n
