Michelle Pfeiffer<\/a> is clearing up rumors that she\u2019s ready to call it a day.<\/p>\n

The Oscar nominee, 68, recently said she\u2019d happily forgo starring in another movie<\/a> because she\u2019s found so much joy acting in television shows The Madison<\/a> and Margo\u2019s Got Money Troubles<\/a>.<\/p>\n

During an appearance<\/a> on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon<\/a> on Thursday, August 20, host Jimmy Fallon pointed out that some news outlets reported her remarks as a retirement announcement. (\u201cMichelle Pfeiffer hints at Hollywood retirement,\u201d read one headline shown by Fallon.)<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s the most ridiculous thing. They\u2019re always saying that I\u2019m retiring. I never said [that] \u2026 where does it say I\u2019m retiring?\u201d Pfeiffer told Fallon.<\/p>\n

Fallon responded, \u201cYou kind of hinted at it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pfeiffer then went on to clarify what she meant, explaining that she has enjoyed working with larger casts.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll I said was I really love working with an ensemble cast. I said something about, \u2018I never wanna star in another movie,\u2019 and they took that out of context,\u201d she said. \u201cOf course I wanna star in another movie.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve done three ensemble pieces in a row \u2026 it\u2019s wonderful to be able to live with a character for such an extended period of time and you can really just go deeper and find all of the different layers,\u201d she continued. \u201cBut it\u2019s also really wonderful, and most important to me, that I get to work with all of this talent. It\u2019s an embarrassment of riches.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pfeiffer recently starred alongside Kurt Russell, Beau Garrett and Patrick J. Adams in Taylor Sheridan\u2019s hit Paramount+ drama The Madison and alongside Elle Fanning, Nicole Kidman and Nick Offerman in Apple TV comedy Margo\u2019s Got Money Troubles.<\/p>\n

Reflecting on her recent television roles, Pfeiffer said during a panel discussion earlier this month, \u201cI never want to star in another movie, I swear to God. I only want to do ensemble pieces. It\u2019s so much more fun, I love it so much.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve just been so bowled over by the female performances on television, and honestly, they\u2019re just really owning TV,\u201d she gushed, according to The Hollywood Reporter.<\/p>\n

Margo\u2019s Got Money Troubles, based on the novel by Rufi Thorpe, was written and created by Pfeiffer\u2019s husband, veteran television writer and producer David E. Kelley of Ally McBeal fame.<\/p>\n

During Thursday\u2019s interview on The Tonight Show, Fallon reminded Pfeiffer that during a previous visit she said she\u2019d never work with her husband.<\/p>\n

\u201cI read the book and I just fell in love with the book,\u201d she said of collaborating with Kelley on Margo\u2019s Got Money Troubles.<\/p>\n

She added, \u201cIt was effortless. The writing is so good. He doesn\u2019t really come to the set much, so it was kind of easy.
