No, Michelle Pfeiffer is not retiring any time soon. The actress made sure to fully debunk that rumor on Thursday night, while appearing \u201cThe Tonight Show,\u201d calling it \u201cthe most ridiculous thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, during a panel alongside other female stars on Apple TV, Pfeiffer noted that \u201cI never want to star in another movie, I swear to God.\u201d That quickly was interpreted as the actress announcing her retirement from the big screen. So, Jimmy Fallon checked in with her about it.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo! I mean, it\u2019s the most ridiculous thing,\u201d she said as the NBC host pulled up several headlines touting her retirement.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re always saying that I\u2019m retiring,\u201d she lamented. \u201cI never said \u2014 no. Where does it say \u2018I\u2019m retiring?\u2019 No! No, all I said was I really love working with an ensemble cast.\u201d<\/p>\n

Indeed, Pfeiffer said on that same panel that \u201cI only want to do ensemble pieces. It\u2019s so much more\u00a0fun.\u201d But, Fallon needled her further, jokingly insisting that she did, in fact, plainly state her retirement plans.<\/p>\n

\u201cI knew the minute it came out of my mouth, and I said something about \u2018I never want to star in another movie,\u2019 and they took that out of context,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd of course I want to star in another movie!\u201d<\/p>\n

But, Pfeiffer reiterated that, after starring in \u201cOh. What. Fun.\u201d, \u201cThe Madison\u201d and \u201cMargo\u2019s Got Money Troubles\u201d back to back to back, she really is enjoying ensemble work.<\/p>\n
