Yankuba Minteh has agreed to join Liverpool<\/a> from Brighton, as Fabrizio Romano is among those revealing the fate of their second bid for the winger.<\/p>\n

Interest from the Reds in Minteh was evident earlier in the summer, but went quiet for a while. Of late, Bradley Barcola, and to a lesser extent, Ibrahim Mbaye, have been the priorities.<\/p>\n

But in recent days, Brighton man Minteh came back onto the radar, with Liverpool<\/a> lodging a \u00a350million bid for the winger, which was rejected.<\/p>\n

Romano has now offered an update on the Gambian player\u2019s thoughts as well as the fate of a second bid.<\/p>\n

He said on X<\/a>: \u2018Liverpool and Yankuba Minteh have a broad verbal agreement on contract terms as the player said yes to #LFC project. Brighton rejected \u00a360m bid sent today but talks continue, as @foday_manneh_ reported.\u2019<\/p>\n

Indeed, Gambian journalist Manneh exclusively broke the news that the second bid had been turned away.<\/p>\n

He said<\/a>: \u2018BREAKING Yankuba Minteh to Liverpool FC; a second bid rejected by Brighton from #LFC for the Gambian winger after a \u00a350M opening offer turned down, I can exclusively confirm today. The two clubs are hopeful about agreeing and continue talks.\u2019<\/p>\n

Liverpool must go harder for Yankuba Minteh<\/p>\n

It\u2019s evident that Liverpool must go even harder if they want to secure the services of Liverpool, but just how far they\u2019ll need to go is now unclear.<\/p>\n

Indeed, it was suggested that a \u00a360million bid might be enough for Minteh<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Ben Jacobs stated: \u201cLiverpool are now working with Andoni Iraola to assess whether it\u2019s worth going in with a second bid for Minteh. If they hit around \u00a360m, I think that would be a very difficult offer for Brighton to turn down.\u201d<\/p>\n

On Liverpool\u2019s priorities for the wing, Jacobs said: \u201cYankuba Minteh has been a target for some time. But I don\u2019t sense that it\u2019s definitively Minteh and Barcola as one and two. Although the other way round, of course.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it\u2019s more Barcola as number one \u2013 a must-get if they possibly can, and then there are three or four other options that Liverpool have enquired about and bid on.\u201d<\/p>\n

With talks continuing, it appears Liverpool will be back to the table with a third bid for Minteh, the valuation of which is currently unclear.<\/p>\n

Had the Reds felt this pursuit would be easier than Barcola, currently, they\u2019ve been proven wrong.<\/p>\n
