\n\tNot sure if you peeped, but it looks like Brooklyn rapper Fivio Foreign<\/a> may be pivoting to Christian rap.<\/p>\n

\n\tHe recently sat down with The Shade Room and was asked why he\u2019s changing the content of his rap music after going viral earlier this week<\/a> when a clip of his new music surfaced. \u201cSometimes in life\u2026I feel like\u2026you gotta listen to that voice that\u2019s talking to you,\u201d he explained. \u201cI feel like everybody is spiritual, everybody know who God is, right? And they pray a couple times, but you gotta actually do something for God. I mean, you\u2019ve got to actually put in a little pain for God. I\u2019m not a person that gotta learn the hard way, feel me? I just know when it\u2019s time to get right.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHowever, he doesn\u2019t feel like he\u2019s making gospel music exactly. \u201cWhen people used to asked me if I was a drill artist, it was hard for to answer it,\u201d he said after being asked if he sees himself as a gospel artist now. \u201cSo, as far as me being a gospel artist, this is the first time somebody asked me that question, I don\u2019t feel like I\u2019m a gospel artist and I really don\u2019t feel like I\u2019m doing gospel music, I just name it gospel music because I know what that means. But I feel like it\u2019s just music from my heart. I got all types of beats on it. So, I don\u2019t know what\u2019s a real gospel beat, but the album got different styles of music where I\u2019m praising God.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAdding, \u201cI don\u2019t want to put it in a category. I\u2019m just Fivi and I\u2019m just trying to praise God through my music and not worship the devil through my music, push a positive image and change, you know, hopefully I get a blessing from God.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHe also said that he would like to eventually collaborate with gospel acts Mary Mary<\/a> and Kirk Franklin<\/a> in the future.<\/p>\n

\n\tFivio flirted with Christian rap on Ye\u2019s (formerly Kanye West<\/a>) 2021 Donda<\/a> album on the song \u201cOff the Grid\u201d where he delivered one of the project\u2019s standout verses.<\/p>\n
