A 45-year-old man has been charged with the murder of an Irish woman in Melbourne, in Australia.<\/p>\n
Police said emergency services were called to a house on Ferntree Gully Road yesterday morning, where a woman in her 30s was found injured.<\/p>\n
She was later pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n
In a statement, police said a man was arrested nearby and taken into custody.<\/p>\n
He was later charged with murder.<\/p>\n
He appeared before Melbourne Magistrates’ Court via video link and was remanded to appear before court again on 23 February 2027.<\/p>\n
It is understood that the man is also Irish and that he and the woman knew each other.<\/p>\n
