You can check the dosing yourself, which is more than most of the shelf allows.

So the fair question is whether the dosing is backed by anything. A bottle holds 60 capsules, the label defines a serving as two capsules, and it’s listed at US$54.99. Here’s what the Supplement Facts panel contains, what Transparent Labs says each part does, and how strong that evidence actually is.

The short answer: nobody has tested Vitality. The research Transparent Labs points to examines its ingredients one at a time, in separate studies, not the finished eight-ingredient capsule. Any effect from the combination is inferred rather than measured, and that’s true of essentially every stacked formula in this category.

What the label does have going for it is dosing. Where a human trial exists, several of the amounts in Vitality match the amount used in that trial rather than a token sprinkle, and the ashwagandha extract at 600mg is the clearest example. That’s a genuine point in the formula’s favour. It’s also a different statement from saying the product works.

Three of the eight ingredient amounts printed on the Vitality label | Image: Transparent Labs Transparent Labs Vitality Testosterone Support

Vitality sits in the Transparent Labs Wellness Series and is sold in bottles of 60 capsules, or 30 servings. A serving lists eight ingredients: 600mg of KSM-66 organic ashwagandha root extract, 250mg of PrimaVie shilajit extract, 250mg of quercetin dihydrate, 125mg of DIM, 100mg of LJ100 Eurycoma longifolia root extract, 15mg of zinc as L-OptiZinc, 10mg of BioPerine black pepper fruit extract and 5mg of boron as bororganic glycine. Five of those are trademarked, standardised ingredients rather than generic raw material.

Format: 60 capsules per bottle, 30 servings of 2 capsules Lead actives: KSM-66 ashwagandha 600mg, PrimaVie shilajit 250mg, LJ100 100mg Also listed: Quercetin 250mg, DIM 125mg, zinc 15mg, BioPerine 10mg, boron 5mg Testing: Informed Choice certified, regularly tested for banned substances Price: US$54.99, or 10% less on a subscribe-and-save delivery plan
Key Ingredients

Eight ingredients, eight amounts. The descriptions below pair what’s on the Vitality panel with the research Transparent Labs cites for it, and with how strong that research actually is. Where the brand’s own sources rest on animal or laboratory work rather than human trials, we’ve said so.

Further Reading

Organic Ashwagandha Extract (KSM-66), 600mg: An adaptogenic herb, standardised to at least 5 per cent withanolides. Transparent Labs cites a three-month study of 75 adult males taking 600mg of ashwagandha root extract daily, which reported testosterone averaging 40 per cent above baseline. Vitality uses that same 600mg, so this is the ingredient where the label most clearly matches the study behind it. Shilajit Extract (PrimaVie), 250mg: A mineral-rich resin found in Himalayan rock and long used in Ayurveda. The brand cites controlled human studies on total and free testosterone, including a 90-day trial in healthy adult males reporting close to 50 per cent greater increases in free testosterone than placebo. The dose used in that trial is not stated alongside the claim. DIM (Diindolylmethane), 125mg: A compound derived from cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, cabbage and cauliflower, included to act on how the body metabolises oestrogen. Worth noting that Transparent Labs describes the supporting data here as in vivo and in vitro, meaning animal and laboratory work rather than human trials. Quercetin Dihydrate, 250mg: A polyphenol found in a range of fruits and vegetables, included for its antioxidant role. The brand’s supporting evidence for the testicular-tissue effect it describes is explicitly murine, which is to say mouse studies. This is the thinnest evidence base on the panel. LJ100 (Eurycoma longifolia), 100mg: Better known as Tongkat Ali or Longjack, standardised to 22 per cent bioactive eurypeptides and 40 per cent glyco saponins. Transparent Labs cites studies in athletes reporting shifts in the testosterone-to-cortisol ratio alongside changes in lean body mass, strength and arm circumference. Zinc (L-OptiZinc), 15mg: A chelated zinc bound to L-methionine, a form the brand’s cited research describes as among the more bioavailable. This is the only row on the panel with a Percent Daily Value, at 136 per cent. Read the headline figures carefully: the 250 per cent rise in sperm count and 54 per cent rise in testosterone that Transparent Labs quotes come from a study of middle-aged men with pre-existing infertility, not healthy men. Boron (Bororganic Glycine), 5mg: An essential trace mineral. The brand cites a research review, rather than a single trial, suggesting men who supplement boron daily show higher testosterone and lower estradiol than men who do not. BioPerine (Black Pepper Extract), 10mg: A patented black pepper fruit extract. It’s not in the formula for a hormonal effect of its own: its stated job is to raise the bioavailability of everything else on the list.
What Transparent Labs Says Vitality Does

The four points below are the brand’s own positioning for Vitality, in the brand’s own terms. They’re claims made by Transparent Labs, not findings by Man of Many, and they sit here separately so you can weigh them against the ingredient evidence above.

Testosterone: Transparent Labs says the formula supports hormone production by increasing testosterone and reducing cortisol. Fertility and libido: The brand says Vitality contains ingredients shown to improve sperm count, libido and reproductive health. Mood and stress: The brand points to KSM-66 ashwagandha as an adaptogen that reduces stress, in its words improving mood and mental clarity. Absorption: The brand includes BioPerine for what it describes as superior nutrient absorption and maximal bioavailability.
Where the Evidence Runs Out

Three limits are worth holding onto. First, no published trial has tested the finished Vitality formula, so the combination is an assumption rather than a result. Second, several of the most quotable numbers come from men who started with a deficiency or a fertility problem, and a change measured in that group does not transfer cleanly to a healthy man in his thirties. Third, two of the eight ingredients, DIM and quercetin, rest on animal and cell studies in the brand’s own referencing.

None of that makes the formula a con. Dosing at the levels used in published research, and printing those levels where you can check them, is a meaningfully higher standard than the category average. It’s just not the same thing as proof, and the Vitality label is honest enough to let you tell the difference.

The full Vitality Supplement Facts panel | Image: Transparent Labs How to Read the Vitality Label

Five of the eight ingredients in Vitality carry a trademark, and the trademark is the useful part. KSM-66 is an ashwagandha root extract standardised to at least 5 per cent withanolides, LJ100 is a Eurycoma longifolia root extract standardised to 22 per cent bioactive eurypeptides and 40 per cent glyco saponins, and PrimaVie is a purified shilajit extract. A trademarked name tells you the extract is made to a fixed specification, which a generic ingredient name does not. For background on the most familiar name on that list, our guide to the benefits of ashwagandha for men covers it.

The right-hand column of the panel is worth a look too. Zinc is the only row with a Percent Daily Value, listed at 136 per cent, because zinc is one of the nutrients that has an established Daily Value. Every other row carries a dagger, which the footnote explains as a Daily Value that has not been established. That’s a labelling fact rather than a ranking of the ingredients.

Man of Many has covered this category before, and the wider context sits in our guide to testosterone boosters and our piece on natural ways to boost testosterone. Transparent Labs cites human research on individual ingredients, and several of the amounts in Vitality match the amounts used in those studies, the 600mg of KSM-66 ashwagandha most clearly. The evidence varies by ingredient: ashwagandha, shilajit and Eurycoma longifolia have human studies behind them, while the DIM and quercetin claims rest on animal and laboratory work. Some of the strongest figures come from men who were infertile or deficient at the start.

 What is Transparent Labs Vitality?

Vitality is a dietary supplement from Transparent Labs, sold as 60 capsules per bottle. The label describes it as natural hormone support and places it in the brand’s Wellness Series. A serving is two capsules, so a bottle holds 30 servings.

What ingredients are in Transparent Labs Vitality?

A two-capsule serving lists eight ingredients: KSM-66 organic ashwagandha root extract (600mg), PrimaVie shilajit extract (250mg), quercetin dihydrate (250mg), DIM or diindolylmethane (125mg), LJ100 Eurycoma longifolia root extract (100mg), zinc as L-OptiZinc (15mg), BioPerine black pepper fruit extract (10mg) and boron as bororganic glycine (5mg).

How much does Transparent Labs Vitality cost?

Vitality is listed at US$54.99 for a 60-capsule bottle. Transparent Labs also offers subscribe-and-save delivery plans at 15, 30, 45 and 60 day intervals, each of which takes 10 per cent off the price.

Does Transparent Labs Vitality use a proprietary blend?

No. The Supplement Facts panel prints all eight ingredients with their own milligram amounts, so there is no single blend total standing in for the individual figures.

Is Transparent Labs Vitality tested for banned substances?

The bottle carries the Informed Choice mark, which the label describes as regularly tested for banned substances. Informed Choice is a third-party testing and certification programme, and the mark covers banned substances for competing athletes rather than being a statement about safety or effectiveness.

The case for Vitality is printed on the back of the bottle rather than the front: eight ingredients, eight amounts, five of them trademarked and standardised, and an Informed Choice mark covering banned-substance testing. Whether the research behind those amounts convinces you is a separate judgement, and the panel is there precisely so you can make it yourself. The full label and the current price sit on the Transparent Labs product page.

Regulatory note, United States: Vitality is sold as a dietary supplement, not as a medicine. Dietary supplements are not assessed or approved by the Food and Drug Administration before they go on sale. Under US law, a dietary supplement making structure and function claims of this kind must carry a statement that the claim has not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration, and that the product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

Regulatory note, Australia: The Therapeutic Goods Administration regulates therapeutic goods in Australia, and products supplied here must be included in the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods. Transparent Labs is a United States brand selling direct to customers, so buying Vitality from its US store means buying a product that has not been assessed by the TGA. Ingredient rules differ between the two countries, and Australian personal importation rules apply. Check the current position before ordering.

Not medical advice: This article describes a product and the research its maker cites for it. It’s not medical advice and it’s not a recommendation to take anything. Supplements can interact with prescription medication and are not suitable for everyone. Speak to your doctor before starting any supplement, particularly if you take medication, have a medical condition, or are considering it for a hormonal or fertility concern.

Disclaimer: Man of Many is mainly for information purposes only.
