{"id":601443,"date":"2026-08-22T18:50:31","date_gmt":"2026-08-22T18:50:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/601443\/"},"modified":"2026-08-22T18:50:31","modified_gmt":"2026-08-22T18:50:31","slug":"murder-probe-launched-after-woman-found-dead-in-limerick","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/601443\/","title":{"rendered":"Murder probe launched after woman found dead in Limerick"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Garda\u00ed have launched a murder investigation following the discovery of a women&#8217;s body in Limerick city.<\/p>\n<p>The woman&#8217;s body was found yesterday morning in an apartment on Lower Cecil Street.<\/p>\n<p>She has been named locally as Brazilian woman Jady Cristine Pereira Rosa, who was in her 30s.<\/p>\n<p>Her body was removed from the scene to the mortuary in University Hospital Limerick, where a post-mortem examination was carried out by the State Pathologist.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Garda\u00ed seal off the Carlton House complex on Cecil Street, Limerick\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/0024e055-614.jpg\"\/><br \/>\nGarda\u00ed at the scene on Cecil Street in Limerick yesterday<\/p>\n<p>Garda\u00ed said the results of the post-mortem examination are not being released for operational reasons.<\/p>\n<p>Garda\u00ed said investigations are ongoing and that they are following a line of inquiry.<\/p>\n<p>The scene on the upper floors of the apartment building remains preserved for a technical examination.<\/p>\n<p>A Garda Family Liaison Officer has been assigned to support Ms Pereira Rosa&#8217;s family.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone with any information is asked to contact Henry Street Garda Station on (061) 212400.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Garda\u00ed have launched a murder investigation following the discovery of a women&#8217;s body in Limerick city.
