\n Based in New York, Alex Kokolis will bring his experience from MSCI, Wilmington Trust, UBS and Merrill Lynch to Citi on Sept. 8\n <\/p>\n
Citigroup has hired Alex Kokolis as head of investments platform experience, marking yet another wealth and investment hire for the banking giant.<\/p>\n
The hiring was announced Thursday in an internal Citi memo, which was seen by InvestmentNews. Kokolis will report directly to Keith Glenfield, head of investment solutions at Citi Wealth.<\/p>\n
\u201cAlex will be instrumental in enhancing our investment platform, end-to-end, and will aim to deliver a superior experience reinforcing our commitments to open architecture, advice-led model, and client-first approach,\u201d said Glenfield, in the memo. \u201cHe will work closely with all investment product teams and partner with Wealth Intelligence and client segment leaders to ensure alignment to Wealth\u2019s overall strategic priorities.\u201d<\/p>\n
The memo was confirmed by a Citi spokesperson.<\/p>\n
Kokolis joins Citi from MSCI, where he served as global head of wealth management client section. Prior to MSCI, Kokolis was the head of investment product & platform at Wilmington Trust and a managing director at UBS. He also worked at Merrill Lynch for more than 10 years.<\/p>\n
Based in New York, Kokolis will officially join Citi on Sept. 8, 2026.<\/p>\n
Citi has been on something of a hiring spree, recently bringing in JP Morgan veteran Adam Clark<\/a> as its head of wealth planning.<\/p>\n Last month the company announced the hiring of Morgan Stanley veteran Rob Lunn to its Investment Management division. \u00a0This came shortly after Citi hired Matt Newnham to the asset manager relationship team for Citi Wealth<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n The company recently\u00a0appointed Michael Yannell as head of hedge funds<\/a>\u00a0for Investment Solutions.<\/p>\n
