\u201cWe all got our demons, don\u2019t we?\u201d We certainly do, though it\u2019s rare to see them manifest so vividly in a drama. This third standalone story in The Terror anthology series is set in an understaffed, underfunded and quite possibly cursed psychiatric hospital. Dan Stevens stars as Peter \u201cPepper\u201d Coffin, who has been wrongfully committed to the institution and is forced to reckon with its tatty malevolence. We meet the patients in their past and present lives and connect them via the sinister Dr Walter (John Benjamin Hickey) who may just be the key to the whole mystery. It doesn\u2019t lack jump-scares but also generates a subtler, more genuinely unsettling ambient hum of horror. Phil Harrison<\/p>\n
