but his mind is still very much onstage.<\/p>\n<p>The Poison frontman gave fans a fresh health update Sunday after canceling the rest of his 2026 tour &#8230; saying he&#8217;s been working closely with doctors and physical therapists following his attempted comeback Friday in Sugar Hill, Georgia.<\/p>\n<p>                  <a class=\"js-click-image js-track-link image-lightbox-preview\" data-node-ref=\"tmz:image-asset:image_jpg_20260823_466c432e30934616981680baea1b2ddd\" data-container-ref=\"tmz:article:93c5ada2-aeb7-40a7-8f70-e10b2d5e59b6\" data-context=\"{&quot;section&quot;:&quot;permalink&quot;,&quot;name&quot;:&quot;image&quot;}\"><\/p>\n<p>                          <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/466c432e30934616981680baea1b2ddd_md.jpg\" alt=\"sub-bret-michaels-ig-1\" width=\"728\" height=\"546\" class=\"img-fluid image-block__img-fluid img-aspect-auto\"\/><\/p>\n<p>                                  <\/a><\/p>\n<p>Bret says he thought he could power through his recent health issues &#8230; but admits he didn&#8217;t fully account for the Atlanta heat, a coast-to-coast flight and new medication adjustments.<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"continued\" class=\"continued-anchor\"\/><\/p>\n<p>He is a Type 1 diabetic and says all of that took a toll on his blood sugar and blood pressure &#8230; and now his doctors are tweaking his meds and insulin.<\/p>\n<p>Still, Bret says he&#8217;s itching to get back out there &#8230; writing, &#8220;If I could, I would be back out there tomorrow.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Bret&#8217;s team announced Saturday he was canceling the rest of his 2026 shows after doctors and paramedics checked him out following Friday night&#8217;s concert &#8230; determining he needed more time to recover from recent surgeries.<\/p>\n<p>Bret says he was especially crushed to miss Tennessee&#8217;s Mountain Music Festival &#8230; but vowed to return in 2027 or 2028.<\/p>\n<p>                  <a class=\"media-link image-block__link js-track-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hulu.com\/series\/a0f22028-0e3f-4f3e-b1c4-763f5ac08ec3\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><br \/>\n                          <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/0e83b05101d8409fbfa35ac20e3c79bc_md.jpg\" alt=\"Princess Diana-INLINE-hulu\" width=\"728\" height=\"410\" class=\"img-fluid image-block__img-fluid img-aspect-16by9\"\/><br \/>\n                                  <\/a><\/p>\n<p>For now &#8230;
