Former EastEnders<\/a> star Matt Lapinskas has revealed he is expecting a child with his wife , Karina Hind.<\/p>\n

The 37-year-old actor, who competed in the 2013 series of Dancing on Ice<\/a>, announced the happy news on Instagram<\/a> on Tuesday, 25 August.<\/p>\n

In the short video, Hind can be seen stroking her husband’s arm, and as the camera pans down, it reveals Lapinskas wearing a pair of newborn baby’s white socks on two of his fingers.<\/p>\n

Hind then shows off the black-and-white scan photos of their unborn child, who is due next year.<\/p>\n

Lapinskas captioned the post: “Our greatest role yet\u2026 coming 2027. After a long time hoping, dreaming and wishing for this moment, our little miracle is finally on the way.<\/p>\n

“Our hearts are completely full, and we feel incredibly blessed to be stepping into our new roles as Mum & Dad. Life has always been an adventure, but this next chapter is one we\u2019ve dreamed of more than anything.”<\/p>\n

He continued: “We can\u2019t wait to meet you, little one. The Lapinskas family is growing by one. Our next role begins in 2027.”<\/p>\n

Lapinskas’ friends and fans were quick to comment on the post, as one person wrote: “Huge congratulations to you both,” while another said: “Thrilled for you both.”<\/p>\n

A third person posted: “Oh my god! Congratulations to you both! So happy for you. You deserve it,” and a fourth added: “So excited for you both, you\u2019ll make the best parents.”<\/p>\n

Lapinskas and Hind got engaged in 2024 and married the following year in May 2025.<\/p>\n

The actor first found fame playing Anthony Moon on BBC soap EastEnders <\/a>from 2011 until 2012, appearing in 102 episodes.<\/p>\n

Lapinskas was runner-up when he competed in the eighth series of ITV’s Dancing on Ice alongside professional skater Brianne Delcourt. The duo lost out to Beth Tweddle and her partner Daniel Whiston.<\/p>\n

More recently, he enjoyed a guest role in Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks<\/a>, and starred as a young Victor Frankenstein in Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein: Modern Day Prometheus at Exeter’s Barnfield Theatre.<\/p>\n

EastEnders airs on Mondays-Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast. <\/p>\n
