Brazilian woman Jady Cristine Pereira Rosa, who was murdered in Limerick last Friday<\/a>, continued to live with her husband despite a separation, as they could not find accommodation elsewhere.<\/p>\n

Garda\u00ed launched a murder investigation into the death Ms Pereira Rosa, 33, after her body was found at an apartment in the Carlton House complex on Cecil St at approximately 7.30am on Friday.<\/p>\n

Investigating garda\u00ed were keen to speak to Brazilian national Judismar Wesley Batista, who was Ms Pereira Rose\u2019s husband. Sources confirmed that a body found in Cork last Friday at approximately 7pm was Mr Batista<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Friends of Ms Pereira Rosa told the Irish Examiner she had been married to him for over a decade. She broke off their relationship a couple of months ago, but Mr Batista \u201cwas not accepting much\u201d and hoped for \u201creconciliation\u201d.<\/p>\n

Jady\u2019s brother Paulo confirmed she had to live with her husband at the apartment complex, despite wanting a separation.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are so many immigrants in Ireland that it was difficult for her to find the place where she lived… Imagine how difficult that must have been for her, especially being alone,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Ms Pereira Rosa\u2019s family are desperate to start the repatriation process as soon as possible \u2013 a process which is understood could take quite some time due to the ongoing investigation.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe provisional death certificate is still pending, as they haven\u2019t released it yet. We still need to provide it to the funeral home in Ireland,\u201d her brother added.<\/p>\n

An autopsy performed by the State Pathologist has confirmed that the young woman suffered a \u201cviolent death\u201d, but garda\u00ed have yet to release the results due to \u201coperational reasons\u201d.<\/p>\n

A fundraiser<\/a> set up for Ms Pereira Rosa has raised over \u20ac25k, and her employer will cover the cost of transporting her body back to her native Brazil. Donations have been paused as the initial fundraising target was reached.<\/p>\n

Ms Pereira Rosa was originally from Sorocaba, a city in the state of S\u00e3o Paulo, and was a law graduate.<\/p>\n

She had been living in Limerick<\/a> for a number of years and worked for a cleaning company in Co Limerick. Her employer said she will be \u201csadly missed by everybody\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cI \u200adon’t know what to say, she was a great daughter. She\u2019s a very good person, and she’ll be sadly missed. Jady was a great girl, she didn\u2019t deserve what happened to her,\u201d Shane Ryan told the Irish Examiner.<\/p>\n
