<\/p>\nCommunity invited to get behind local family carers at special fundraising event on Saturday 29th August\u00a0<\/p>\n
Family Carers Ireland, in partnership with GO Gym, is calling on the people of Limerick and across the Mid-West to support local family carers by taking part in or donating to the upcoming “Spin for Carers” fundraising challenge.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Taking place on Saturday 29th August from 10am to 4pm outside GO Gym, Ennis Road, Limerick, the high-energy community spinathon aims to raise vital funds and awareness for the thousands of family carers who provide unpaid care and support to loved ones every day.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Throughout the six-hour event, participants will take on a cycling challenge while supporters are encouraged to come along, cheer them on, and help raise funds for Family Carers Ireland’s essential services.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Adding to the atmosphere on the day, the Spin South West “Spini” crew will be joining the event from 12pm to 2pm, bringing plenty of energy, music, and entertainment. Visitors are encouraged to drop in during the afternoon, meet the team, support participants, and get involved in the fun.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Family carers play a crucial role in communities across Ireland, often providing round-the-clock care for family members due to age, illness, disability, addiction, or additional support needs. Funds raised through Spin for Carers will help Family Carers Ireland continue to provide supports, information, advocacy, training, and services to carers who need them most.\u00a0<\/p>\n
