<\/p>\nNottingham Forest have agreed a club-record \u00a350m deal to sign Liam Delap from Chelsea. <\/p>\n
The transfer is understood to be worth at least \u00a345m, which could reach \u00a350m with add-ons.<\/p>\n
The striker is scheduled to have a medical on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
Delap had interest from a number of other Premier League clubs, including Everton, but Forest have secured his signing.<\/p>\n
Chelsea signed Delap last summer for \u00a330m from Ipswich and valued him at around \u00a350m this summer.<\/p>\n
They could be set for a \u00a320m profit on a striker who scored three goals in 47 appearances last season.<\/p>\n
Forest’s previous record transfer saw Omari Hutchison join for \u00a337.5m from Ipswich Town in August 2025.<\/p>\n

“We know Liam’s got the ability; he’s shown that in the past. He needs to play on a regular basis now. He needs to stay fit.<\/p>\n
“It never worked out at Chelsea. I never think he ever got a run in the team to give that striker the confidence; you need the manager to love you and play you every week, even if you’re not playing well. I think he’ll get that with Glasner – you’ve seen that with (Jean-Philippe Mateta) at Palace.<\/p>\n
“He [Forest boss Oliver Glasner] likes to play with a big striker; he likes support. If he [Delap] can keep up with play, I think he’ll score goals for Nottingham Forest, and I believe he will keep up with play.<\/p>\n
“I think he’s aggressive; he’s got a lot of attributes to be a top, top striker, but Chelsea just did not work for him, and that’s what happens.<\/p>\n
“Forget about the price tag because the price tags all over the Premier League now are just ridiculous.”<\/p>\n
