{"id":606320,"date":"2026-08-27T15:26:09","date_gmt":"2026-08-27T15:26:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/606320\/"},"modified":"2026-08-27T15:26:09","modified_gmt":"2026-08-27T15:26:09","slug":"fiorentina-in-talks-with-manchester-united-for-joshua-zirkzee-loan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/606320\/","title":{"rendered":"Fiorentina in talks with Manchester United for Joshua Zirkzee loan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Fiorentina are in talks with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/sport\/football\/teams\/manchester-united\" class=\"ssrcss-18834jl-InlineLink e1kn3p7n0\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Manchester United<\/a> over an initial loan move for forward Joshua Zirkzee.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The Netherlands international can leave Old Trafford this summer and has attracted interest from across Europe.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Talks are taking place between Fiorentina and United over what would be a loan until the end of the season with an option to potentially make the transfer permanent next summer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Zirkzee, who has three years remaining on his contract, is open to move to the Serie A club.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">An agreement is not described as close at this stage but there is optimism that a deal can be reached before transfer deadline on 1 September.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Zirkzee <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/sport\/football\/articles\/c80e176xzeko\" class=\"ssrcss-18834jl-InlineLink e1kn3p7n0\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">joined United from Bologna for \u00a336.5m<\/a> in 2024 having won Serie A&#8217;s Under-23 player of the season for 2023-24, and scored on his debut in a 1-0 win over <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/sport\/football\/teams\/fulham\" class=\"ssrcss-18834jl-InlineLink e1kn3p7n0\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Fulham<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">But he has struggled to establish himself as a first-team regular making just 27 starts among 75 appearances during his two season at the club.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The 25-year-old, who made just five Premier League starts in 2025-26, has scored nine goals in all competitions for United.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Fiorentina are in talks with Manchester United over an initial loan move for forward Joshua Zirkzee.
