\n\tOlivia Rodrigo<\/a> is loving Ariana Grande<\/a>\u2018s recent album petal so much, you might just hear her cover one of the songs from the project someday.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn a Wonderland<\/a> interview published Tuesday (Aug. 25) ahead of her Daisy Chain Fields festival, Rodrigo gushed about Sienna Spiro and Role Model\u2019s recent covers of her music before answering a question about whether there was a song by another artist she\u2019d like to put her own spin on soon. \u201cI\u2019ve been listening to Ariana\u2019s album a lot, so maybe something from Ariana\u2019s album,\u201d the former Disney star said.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt\u2019s so exciting to have people cover your songs,\u201d Rodrigo also told the publication. \u201cIt\u2019s like the coolest thing ever. Role Model covered \u2018maggots for brains,\u2019<\/a> and Sienna Spiro covered my song \u2018less\u2019<\/a> the other day. It was just so much fun, and it\u2019s so flattering because I think both of them are incredible artists, and to get to see their take on the song is really special.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tBoth Spiro and Role Model shared their takes on Rodrigo songs for the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge, where Rodrigo herself has previously delivered covers of Noah Kahan\u2019s \u201cStick Season\u201d<\/a> and CMAT\u2019s \u201cWhen a Good Man Cries.\u201d<\/a> Grande\u2019s music has made for some memorable Live Lounge performances over the years, from Hozier performing \u201cProblem\u201d<\/a> in 2015 to The 1975 covering \u201cThank U, Next\u201d<\/a> in 2018 and Gracie Abrams singing \u201cWe Can\u2019t Be Friends\u201d<\/a> earlier this year.<\/p>\n

\n\tIt\u2019s only been about a month since petal dropped in late July, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200<\/a> after landing a Billboard Hot 100<\/a>-topping single with \u201cHate That I Made You Love Me.\u201d Rodrigo is also fresh off the release of a new album, with you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love also entering the U.S. albums chart at No. 1 and hosting a No. 1 Hot 100 hit with \u201cDrop Dead.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe two pop stars have previously nodded to their fandom of each other, with Rodrigo dancing<\/a> to \u201cThe Boy Is Mine\u201d in a TikTok that Grande reposted on her Instagram Story a couple of years ago. When the Wicked star was a coach on The Voice, she at one point praised Rodrigo\u2019s breakout hit after a contestant auditioned with \u201cDrivers License.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cCovering a song that is as big and as good as drivers license is a tall order,\u201d Grande said <\/a>at the time.<\/p>\n

\n\tRodrigo is currently gearing up to host the inaugural Daisy Chain Fields, a festival she created to raise money for causes supporting women and girls. She also personally curated the event\u2019s all-women lineup, which includes Chappell Roan, Doechii, KATSEYE, Stevie Nicks and more.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI feel like Daisy Chain Fields is going to be such a magical day,\u201d Rodrigo told Wonderland. \u201cI literally can\u2019t wait \u2026 There are so many of my friends and my heroes [on the lineup], and I can\u2019t wait to watch all of the sets, and I just think they\u2019re incredible human beings also because they are donating their time and doing this completely for free and for charity.
