A man aged in his late teens has been seriously injured following a road crash involving an e-scooter in Co Longford.<\/p>\n
The incident happened on the Battery Road in Longford Town at around 10.40pm last night.<\/p>\n
The man was brought to Regional Hospital in Mullingar with serious injuries.<\/p>\n
He has since been transferred to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin where he is said to be in a critical condition.<\/p>\n
A teenager, a passenger believed to be in her teens, was also brought to hospital in Mullingar. Her injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.<\/p>\n
The road where the incident happened has been closed to for a garda forensic collision examination.<\/p>\n
Garda\u00ed are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.<\/p>\n
