A 45-year-old man appeared in court last week for a theft spree he allegedly committed at premises across Waterford city in May.<\/p>\n
It is alleged that Laurence Bryan (45), of 1 Brookview Crecent, Tallaght, stole items from TK Maxx, McDonald’s, Elvery’s and Aldi across a period of five days.<\/p>\n
The court heard that on May 3, Bryan allegedly stole \u20ac40 worth of goods from TK Maxx in Poleberry.<\/p>\n
It’s also alleged that a day later, he stole a vacuum cleaner worth \u20ac205 from Homesavers in Ballybricken.<\/p>\n
On May 7, it’s alleged the man stole \u20ac12 worth of goods from Elvery’s Sports on Micheal Street.<\/p>\n
On the same day, he allegedly forced open the front door of Aldi on Ashe Road and entered as a trespasser and while inside, stole a large quantity of alcohol. None of this property was recovered.<\/p>\n
On May 8, Bryan entered McDonald’s on the Cork Road as a trespasser and allegedly stole a bicycle belonging to a member of staff. The approximate value of the bike is \u20ac400 to \u20ac500.<\/p>\n
Judge William Aylmer accepted jurisdiction to the District Court last week.<\/p>\n
Laurence Bryan will reappear in court next month to progress his case.<\/p>\n
