This collaborative project aims to give people a chance to help shape Ireland&#8217;s 25-year Nature Restoration Plan. Discussions, workshops, and walks will take place in all provinces throughout September and October, bringing communities together to share their stories, ideas and lived experiences.<\/p>\n<p>One of these events will take place on Saturday, October 11th, in Omeath on the shores of Carlingford Lough in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dundalkdemocrat.ie\/section\/113\/news\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Louth<\/a>. The day will begin with a walk along the Greenway path accompanied by local farmer and environmentalist, John Ross Mac Math\u00fana and marine biologist Lucy Taylor.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The discussion will be about the various land uses around the Lough and the Lough itself.\u00a0 The walk will start at 11:30am from the carpark at the Dolmen Centre in Omeath. This will be followed by a Community Conversations Workshop from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Dolmen Centre in Omeath.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Organisers say that:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEveryone is welcome and no sign-up is necessary. We particularly welcome people who may feel that they are excluded from conversations around nature. By fostering open dialogue and shared learning, they will help shape nature policy that reflects the voices and lived experiences of communities. Insights gathered from these events will be presented to the Independent Advisory Committee, ensuring community voices are heard in partnership with the National Parks and Wildlife Service.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is more than a consultation; it&#8217;s an opportunity for communities to be part of something lasting. We warmly invite individuals and communities to join the conversation and share the event details within their own networks to reach as many voices as possible. Your voice and your community matter.
