\n\tChris Hansen<\/a> is speaking out again<\/a> about the upcoming film Primetime<\/a>, and this time, he\u2019s giving Robert Pattinson<\/a> some credit for his performance as him.<\/p>\n

\n\tSpeaking with Entertainment Tonight<\/a>, Hansen, the former host of Dateline NBC\u2019s To Catch a Predator, shared his take on The Batman star\u2019s portrayal based on what he\u2019s seen in the trailer.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cObviously he has practiced imitating me, and while I think it\u2019s overly dramatic, I think there is a pretty good imitation there in the trailer,\u201d Hansen said.<\/p>\n

\n\tHowever, Hansen added that his family has been more receptive to Pattinson\u2019s performance.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt\u2019s not so much what I think; it\u2019s what other people think. And you know, my wife [and] my family seem to think it\u2019s a pretty good imitation,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\n\tStill, Hansen pointed out that Pattinson\u2019s character is not an exact portrayal of him.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cHe\u2019s saying things I never said and doing things I never did, and that\u2019s not who I am. I\u2019m a nice guy, except when it comes to criminals and predators,\u201d Hansen continued. \u201cI think people should remember that it is a work of fiction, only based on real-life events.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Hollywood Reporter reached out to Pattinson\u2019s reps for comment but did not hear back by the time of publication.<\/p>\n

\n\tHansen has also been vocal about his lack of involvement in the film, which is inspired by his work investigating suspected child predators.<\/p>\n

\n\tLast week, he told Fox News\u2019 Jesse Watters that he did not attend a screening of Primetime because, he alleged, \u201cThe lawyers at A24<\/a> wanted me to sign away my rights to my name, image and brand, essentially, as well as any potential legal rights that would come out of the movie.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI couldn\u2019t sign that, so they didn\u2019t show me the film. I went all the way over there. \u2026 But who\u2019s going to sign something like that?\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
