Netflix has confirmed that workplace comedy Tires will return for a fourth season, handing fans of Shane Gillis’s auto-repair sitcom the news they were hoping for.<\/p>\n
Tires<\/a> follows Will (Steve Gerben), the nervous and unqualified heir to an auto-repair chain, as he tries to turn his father’s business around despite constant torment from his cousin and now employee, Shane (Gillis).<\/p>\n The show’s third season became its biggest yet since dropping on 13 August, having climbed to number 5 on Netflix’s Global Top 10<\/a> English TV list in its first full week with 13.8 million hours viewed.<\/p>\n Seasons 1 to 3 have amassed a cumulative total of more than 45 million views, with the fanbase expanding year on year according to Netflix<\/a>‘s own Tracey Pakosta, VP of US comedy.<\/p>\n She said: “Tires continues to deliver the unapologetic comedy and authentic point of view Shane, John and Steve’s fans know and love, and season 3 hitting its highest-ever Top 10 ranking proves this fandom just keeps growing.<\/p>\n Want to see this content?<\/p>\n Accept and continue<\/p>\n “We love working with this team and can’t wait to see what’s next for the Valley Forge crew in season 4.”<\/p>\n Netflix struck an overall deal with Gillis and Tires co-creator John McKeever in January, meaning this won’t be the last we see of him on the streaming platform.<\/p>\n As part of the agreement, Gillis is also set to film two new stand-up specials, following his 2023 special Shane Gillis: Beautiful Dogs, which has racked up close to 30 million views.<\/p>\n Both creatives gave only brief reactions to the Tires renewal.<\/p>\n “It’s cool to get to make another season of Tires,” commented Gillis, with McKeever adding “I love this show and everyone who works on it – excited to make more”.<\/p>\n Chris O’Connor, Kilah Fox, Stavros Halkias and Thomas Haden Church also feature in the cast of Tires, which began life as an independently financed first season that Netflix simply acquired.<\/p>\n Since then, it has grown into a key pillar of its comedy line-up, proving that eye-watering budgets and A-list stars aren’t the only things that will get audiences to tune in.<\/p>\n All three seasons have been filmed in Pennsylvania, with the series coming from Gillis and McKeever’s production company, Dad Sick Productions. Netflix has not yet confirmed a release date for Tires season 4.<\/p>\n Tires seasons 1-3 are available to watch on Netflix, with season 4 coming soon.
