EastEnders’ Michelle Ryan has reunited with her co-star Jessie Wallace, following her upcoming exit from the soap<\/a>. The pair have worked together on-and-off since 2000, playing Zoe and Kat Slater (now Kat Moon).<\/p>\n

After two decades away from the Square, Zoe made her surprising return last year and has been living with her family in the Queen Vic. However, her comeback was disappointingly brief and Ryan has already filmed her tragic exit storyline which will air soon. <\/p>\n

Despite leaving the soap, the actor has remained in touch with her co-stars, sharing a sweet reunion with her on-screen mum Wallace. “Lovely day out with Jess,” she captioned the Instagram<\/a> post.<\/p>\n

The accompanying pictures featured a glimpse at the get-together, which took place on a fancy boat. One image saw the pair enjoying each other’s company with warm smiles on their faces. <\/p>\n

In another snap, Wallace was sitting in the driving seat of the boat, looking out at the water, while a third saw Ryan sporting a chic bandana and sunglasses. <\/p>\n

“Thank you for sharing these. I have loved watching you both work together again,” a fan wrote in the comment section, with another adding: “Iconic photo. love seeing you both together. You’ll be missed on screen Michelle.”<\/p>\n

Zoe’s exit was first rumoured earlier this year, before being officially confirmed by EastEnders<\/a>. It was reported that the character is being killed off after suffering a fall and banging her head.<\/p>\n

Though she brushes off the effects of the accident, Zoe will be found dead in her bed by Kat the next day. The scenes have already been filmed, with pictures of Zoe’s funeral<\/a> being shared last month. <\/p>\n

EastEnders airs on Mondays-Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.<\/p>\n
