\n Hope and Light, which supports communities, focuses on meeting the mental health needs of Black African, Black Caribbean, Central and Eastern European, Roma, and South Asian communities.\n<\/p>\n
\n Between 2025 and 2026, the programme supported 970 people through more than 5,000 contacts.\n<\/p>\n
\n Masira Hans, head of service for Hope and Light, said: “Voices of Hope isn’t just a report, it’s a testament to the passion, dedication and commitment of all our supporters, partners and communities and gives a real insight into what we have done, are doing and hope to do.”\n<\/p>\n
\n A recent report highlights key findings and recommendations gathered from the communities served by Hope and Light.\n<\/p>\n
\n The programme addresses challenges such as stigma, silence around mental health, and language and communication barriers.\n<\/p>\n
\n One example of its work is the Fighting Fit sessions, a six-week peer support programme for men that combines martial arts with mental health discussions.\n<\/p>\n
\n Delivered with Hybrid Combat, the sessions include Kali (stick fighting), Jeet Kun Do, and Jiujitsu.\n<\/p>\n
\n Instructor Suleyman Cetin said: “Martial Arts teaches discipline, spiritual awareness, breathe control and resilience.
