According to Bollywood Hungama, a major chunk of \u2018Udta Teer\u2019 was shot in 2024, and that\u2019s when Mukul Dev filmed his portions. His character has a face-off with Ayushmann Khurrana<\/a>\u2019s character. His track is not only funny but also action-packed and forms an important part of the narrative. As always, Mukul\u2019s performance is spot-on and is sure to be loved by the audience.<\/p>\n

‘Udta Teer’ release date and production banners<\/p>\n

Ayushmann and Sara Ali Khan<\/a> lead the cast of \u2018Udta Teer\u2019, which was originally set for a September 11 release before being moved to October 9. The film brings together Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Guneet Monga Kapoor’s Sikhya Entertainment, marking their latest collaboration after \u2018Kill\u2019 (2024), \u2018Gyaarah Gyaarah\u2019 (2024) and \u2018The Lunchbox\u2019 (2013).With \u2018Udta Teer\u2019, Akash A Kaushik steps into directing for the first time, while the film also reunites Ayushmann and Sara, who previously worked together in \u2018Pati Patni Aur Woh Do\u2019 (2026), released earlier this year.<\/p>\n

Mukul Dev’s journey from pilot training to acting<\/p>\n

Born in Delhi, Mukul initially trained as a pilot at the Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademi before turning to acting. His career began with television serials, and around the same period, he bagged a role in Mahesh Bhatt’s \u2018Dastak\u2019 (1996). He went on to feature in several notable films, including \u2018Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena\u2019 (2005), \u2018Yamla Pagla Deewana\u2019 (2011), \u2018Son Of Sardaar\u2019 (2012), \u2018R…Rajkumar\u2019 (2013), and \u2018Jai Ho\u2019 (2014), among others.<\/p>\n

Mukul Dev’s demise and brother Rahul Dev’s statement<\/p>\n

Mukul Dev passed away on May 23, 2025, following roughly a week of hospitalisation. About a month later, his younger brother, actor Rahul Dev, told Bombay Times, “He was in the ICU for eight and a half days. Medically, it was a result of poor eating habits. In the last four-five days, he had stopped eating altogether. Of course, he felt lonely, and he had lost interest in life. Usko zindagi jeene ka jazba nahi tha.
