Please review their details and accept them to load the content.<a class=\"blocked-button\" href=\"https:\/\/www.rte.ie\/news\/ireland\/2026\/0902\/1590078-dubravko-ostojic-court\/javascript:void(0);\" onclick=\"OneTrust.ToggleInfoDisplay()\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Manage Preferences<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Judge Fiona Lydon said bail was a matter for the High Court, given the seriousness of the charges.<\/p>\n<p>Garda Sergeant Claire Heneghan told that court that the Director of Public Prosecutions had instructed that a previous charge, under Section 3 of the Non Fatal Offences Against the Persons Act, be withdrawn.<\/p>\n<p>Judge Lydon noted this and struck out that charge.<\/p>\n<p>She remanded Mr Ostojic in custody, to appear via videolink at next Monday&#8217;s sitting of the District Court on 7 September.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A 33-year-old man has been charged with the murder of his mother in Galway earlier this year.
