Cyndeo is a Dynasty firm, and also a minority investment for Rise Growth Partners, which took a <a class=\"ContentText-BodyTextChunk ContentText-BodyTextChunk_link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wealthmanagement.com\/ria-news\/rise-growth-stakes-3-1b-dynasty-backed-cyndeo\" target=\"_self\" data-discover=\"true\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">stake in the firm in ContentParagraph_align_left\" data-testid=\"content-paragraph\">Merit Financial Advisors, an Alpharetta, Ga.-based hybrid registered investment advisor <a class=\"ContentText-BodyTextChunk ContentText-BodyTextChunk_link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wealthmanagement.com\/ria-news\/merit-financial-advisors-acquires-bridgeway-group\" target=\"_self\" data-discover=\"true\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">overseeing $30.1 billion in client assets<\/a>, has appointed John Rajes as its first chief technology officer to oversee the firm\u2019s enterprise technology strategy, including technology architecture, integrations, data and artificial intelligence, the RIA announced Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ContentParagraph ContentParagraph_align_left\" data-testid=\"content-paragraph\">Rajes, who joined Merit on July 13, will report to Chief Operating Officer Chrissy Lee and focus on developing a more unified digital experience for Merit\u2019s Bellevue, Wash.-based employee-owned financial services firm overseeing <a class=\"ContentText-BodyTextChunk ContentText-BodyTextChunk_link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wealthmanagement.com\/ria-news\/coldstream-ceo-the-pressures-are-real-\" target=\"_self\" data-discover=\"true\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">more than $15 billion in total client assets<\/a>, has hired Megan Hannah as chief client experience officer and promoted Ian Curtiss to lead the firm\u2019s Wealth Strategy Group, the RIA announced Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ContentParagraph ContentParagraph_align_left\" data-testid=\"content-paragraph\">Hannah will work across planning, investment strategy and client service and join the firm\u2019s Guiding Coalition, while Curtiss will lead the Wealth Strategy Group\u2019s continued development as it works with Coldstream\u2019s wealth managers and clients through planning and investment strategy.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ContentParagraph ContentParagraph_align_left\" data-testid=\"content-paragraph\">Anne Marie Stonich, who helped build Coldstream\u2019s Wealth Strategy Group and family office capabilities, will serve as co-chief client experience officer with Hannah through the end of 2026 before focusing on expanding the firm\u2019s presence in Bend, Ore., and advancing the us,\u201d CEO Kevin Fitzwilson said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>RIA Lender Live Oak Adds to Wealth Management Team<\/p>\n<p class=\"ContentParagraph ContentParagraph_align_left\" data-testid=\"content-paragraph\">Live Oak Bank, a Wilmington, N.C.-based lender to <a class=\"ContentText-BodyTextChunk ContentText-BodyTextChunk_link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wealthmanagement.com\/ria-edge\/advisor-innovations-live-oak-s-james-hughes-on-underwriting-ria-growth\" target=\"_self\" data-discover=\"true\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">independent and sponsor-backed RIAs<\/a>, said Tuesday it had promoted Julia Wiles to its independent wealth management lending team.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ContentParagraph ContentParagraph_align_left\" data-testid=\"content-paragraph\">Wiles had spent six years at Live Oak as an analyst, underwriter, portfolio manager, credit officer and loan officer, according to a spokesperson. She had most recently spent four years on its Sponsor Finance team, structuring private equity-backed credit facilities ranging from $2 million to more than $100 million.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ContentParagraph ContentParagraph_align_left\" data-testid=\"content-paragraph\">\u201cThat experience matters right now,\u201d the spokesperson wrote via email. \u201cNearly 300 registered investment advisors are now sponsor-backed, representing roughly $6 trillion in assets under management. We serve several sponsor-backed firms today alongside a broad base of independently owned practices, and we\u2019re building for both.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"ContentParagraph ContentParagraph_align_left\" data-testid=\"content-paragraph\">Wiles will focus on flexible credit lines that provide RIAs with access to capital for acquisitions, recruiting, minority equity investments and other growth strategies.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ContentParagraph ContentParagraph_align_left\" data-testid=\"content-paragraph\">Live Oak said it had also expanded its financing in the wealth space to advisor breakaway and startup capital, advisor recruiting, debt refinancing, working capital, internal succession and acquisitions.
